Terms of Use

Thank you for using the SquadSlips Platform. SquadSlips invites you to access and use our proprietary platform, which allows users to view live odds, create mock bet slips, share their simulated betting activity with friends via iMessage, and track community rankings. We make the Platform available to you through our mobile application and iMessage extension, collectively referred to as the "Platform". Your access to the Platform is subject to the following terms of use, the "Terms of Use", which may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you.

By accessing the Platform and completing any onboarding process, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use, and you represent that you are 18 years of age or older. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS OF USE, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS OR USE THE PLATFORM OR THE SERVICES DESCRIBED HEREIN.

1. Entertainment Purposes Only, No Real Money Gambling

SquadSlips is a high speed odds terminal and social platform intended strictly for entertainment and informational purposes. We are not a sportsbook, and we do not accept real money wagers. Any parlays, straight bets, or bet slips created, tracked, or shared within the Platform are entirely simulated. The rankings, leaderboards, and points generated from these mock bets have no real world cash value and cannot be redeemed for currency, prizes, or compensation of any kind.

2. Third Party Sportsbook Integrations and Deep Links

Our Platform allows you to view odds provided by licensed external sportsbooks. If you choose to interact with these odds, SquadSlips may generate a deep link that navigates you out of our Platform and directly into a third party sportsbook application, pre populating a bet slip on their platform. When you use these features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• No Agency: SquadSlips operates solely as a navigational and informational tool. We do not place bets on your behalf.
• Affiliate Relationships: The links provided to third party sportsbooks may be affiliate links. SquadSlips may receive compensation strictly if you use these links to create a new account or sign up with a third party sportsbook. We do not receive compensation based on your betting volume, your losses, or your ongoing real money wagering activity.
• Assumption of Risk: If you choose to place a real money wager on a third party sportsbook after navigating away from SquadSlips, you do so entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for ensuring you meet the legal age requirements, typically 21 years old, and jurisdictional requirements of those external platforms.
• Discrepancies and Deep Link Errors: Odds change rapidly, and the technical infrastructure connecting our Platform to external applications is complex. SquadSlips does not guarantee that the odds displayed on our Platform will exactly match the odds available at the time you attempt to place a real money wager on a third party sportsbook. Furthermore, from time to time, the generated deep links may be incorrect, fail to route properly, or pre populate an inaccurate bet slip. You are solely responsible for verifying all bet details, including odds, teams, and stake amounts, directly within the third party sportsbook application before confirming any real money wagers.

3. Changes to These Terms of Use

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, discontinue, or terminate the Platform, or to modify the Terms of Use, at any time and without prior notice. If we modify the Terms of Use, we will post the modification on the Platform. By continuing to access or use the Platform after we have posted a modification, you are indicating that you agree to be bound by the modified Terms of Use. If the modified Terms of Use are not acceptable to you, your only recourse is to cease using the Platform.

4. Community Guidelines

Within the SquadSlips community, you are required to follow basic rules of respect and technical compliance. Specifically, you agree as follows:

• You shall not interfere with or attempt to interrupt the proper operation of the Platform through the use of any virus, automated device, or hacking mechanism.
• You will not use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Platform or extract our odds data for any commercial purpose.
• We reserve the right, in our sole and absolute discretion, to deny you access to the Platform or remove your access to specific features without notice if you violate these guidelines.

5. Intellectual Property

The Platform contains material, such as software, text, graphics, images, and other material provided by or on behalf of SquadSlips, collectively referred to as the "Content". The Content is protected under United States and foreign laws. Unauthorized use of the Content may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws. You have no rights in or to the Content, and you will not use the Content except as expressly permitted under these Terms of Use. You may not sell, transfer, assign, license, sublicense, or modify the Content or reproduce it for any public or commercial purpose.

6. No Warranties, Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM, APP, AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL OPERATE ERROR FREE OR THAT THE ODDS DISPLAYED WILL BE PERFECTLY ACCURATE OR FREE OF DELAY. IN CONNECTION WITH ANY WARRANTY, CONTRACT, OR COMMON LAW TORT CLAIMS, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM TRADING OR GAMBLING LOSSES INCURRED ON EXTERNAL THIRD PARTY PLATFORMS AFTER USING SQUADSLIPS. ANY DIRECT DAMAGES THAT YOU MAY SUFFER AS A RESULT OF YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL BE LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SquadSlips, our affiliates, officers, directors, and agents from and against any claims, actions, or demands arising or resulting from your breach of these Terms of Use or your violation of any laws regarding real money wagering in your local jurisdiction.

8. Downloading the App from the App Store

The following terms apply when you download the App from Apple's App Store. You acknowledge and agree that these Terms of Use are concluded between you and SquadSlips only, and not Apple, and SquadSlips, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and the content thereof. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App. Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third party beneficiaries of these Terms of Use, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms of Use against you as a third party beneficiary.

9. Controlling Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the internal substantive laws of the State of Illinois, without respect to its conflict of laws provisions. You expressly agree to submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts sitting in the State of Illinois. YOU AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS OF USE MUST BE COMMENCED BY YOU WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES, OTHERWISE SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION IS PERMANENTLY BARRED.

10. Binding Arbitration Agreement and Class Action Waiver

In the event of a dispute arising under or relating to these Terms of Use or the Platform, either party may elect to finally and exclusively resolve the dispute by binding arbitration governed by the Federal Arbitration Act. IF EITHER PARTY CHOOSES ARBITRATION, NEITHER PARTY SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO LITIGATE SUCH CLAIM IN COURT OR TO HAVE A JURY TRIAL.

You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between us and you individually. To the full extent permitted by law, no arbitration or proceeding shall be joined with any other, there is no right or authority for any dispute to be arbitrated or resolved on a class action basis, and there is no right or authority for any dispute to be brought in a purported representative capacity on behalf of the general public.

11. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms of Use is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision will be deemed restated to reflect the original intentions of the parties, and the remainder of the Agreement will remain in full force and effect. These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to the subject matter.
